We are members of the IGI Gender Equality Theme. We are ending sexual and gender-based violence through digital innovation and technology
Our Story
Through research and innovation, we :
1. Deliver co-produced, high quality advanced data collection and analysis systems that capture critical information about the nature of sexual and gender-based violence in Kenya and other LMICs
2. Engage and partner with sexual and gender-based violence organisations and establish a global network to share methods, findings, and insights for tackling sexual and gender-based violence to achieve SDG 5 (gender equality and the empowerment of women) and SDG 16 (peaceful societies and institutions)
3. Develop robust approaches for survivors’ organisations to document and analyse sexual and gender-based violence violations, and inform effective security, crime prevention, protection, and response strategies in LMICs
4. Conduct R&D to develop new technology for the real time data collection and analysis of sexual and gender-based violence incidents to identify crime hotspots, service needs, and low-cost approaches for enhancing the medio-legal response to sexual and gender-based violence
5. Conduct comparative research on ‘one stop’ models to deliver a new understanding of effective multisectoral responses to sexual and gender-based violence
5. Raise the profile and enhance the capabilities of survivors’ networks worldwide to document crimes, and use the evidence to advocate for effective law and policy, and ultimately, tackle social and economic inequality.
